Experimental procedure:
Static or low flow - Data taken vs time
Excitation technique:
Flash photolysis (laser or conventional)
Time resolution:
In real time
Analytical technique:
Vis-UV absorption
Comments:
Reaction between GeH2 and several molecules were measured at 295 K and 10-200 torr total pressure in SF6. Typically reactants 0.02-1 torr. GeH2 produced by 193 nm excimer laser photolysis of PhGeH3. GeH2 detected with CW ring dye laser absorption at 17111.31 cm-1. Rate constants are pressure dependent in fall-off regime. Paper reports values at different pressure. Only highest and lowest pressures are abstracted here. Reaction with D2O was very slow and may be an upper limit, although not indicated as such in paper.
