By end product analysis
Analytical technique:
Fourier transform (FTIR)
Comments:
Products of the reactions of chlorine atoms with 2-methylfuran were studied in smog chambers using gas chromatography, GC/MS, and FTIR spectroscopy. Evidence for the H-atom abstraction from the alkyl group was obtained. No rate constant values were reported.
