Comments:   Absolute excited state concentrations of OH(A2Sigma+), CH(A2Delta, B2Sigma-), and C2(d2Pig) were determined in low pressure premixed methane-air flames. Rate constants for
CH + O2 = OH(A2Sigma+)+ CO
O + C2H = CH(A2Delta, B2Sigma-) + CO
were derived by modeling these concentrations using GRI-Mech 3.0 as the base mechanism and then adding additional chemistry related to chemiluminescence.

The temperature range of validity of the rate constants was reported only as ?lame temperatures?and was inferred to be approximately 1500 ?1950 K from the reported data.
