Title:   Atomic and Molecular Hydrogen Elimination in the Crossed Beam Reaction of d1-Ethinyl Radicals C2D(X2Σ+) with Acetylene, C2H2(X1Σg1): Dynamics of d1-diacetylene (HCCCD) and d1-Butadiynyl (DCCC) Formation
Journal:   Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys.
Volume:   4
Page(s):   2950 - 2958
Year:   2002
Reference type:   Journal article
Squib:   2002KAI/STA2950-2958

Reaction:   C2H2 + CD≡C· → C4HD unspecified structure +
Reaction order:   2
Rate expression:   no rate data available
Category:  Experiment
Data type:   Absolute value measured directly
Experimental procedure:   Molecular beam
Excitation technique:   Other
Time resolution:   In both real time and by end product analysis
Analytical technique:   Mass spectrometry
Comments:   1) Contour plots of the molecular beam scattering data indicate that this channel accounts for 98-99 % of the reaction flux. The C4D+H2 product channel is also active.2) C2D (X 2?IGMA?SUP>+) was generated in a molecular beam source by 266 nm laser ablation of a graphite rod.3) The collision energy between C2D (X 2?IGMA?SUP>+) and C2H2 was 26.4 kJ mole-1.
