Comments:   Infrared laser-powered homogeneous pyrolysis experiments were performed. Products were analyzed using FTIR spectroscopy, GC/MS, matrix isolation spectroscopy, and tuneable diode laser spectroscopy. The temperature of pyrolysis is not well defined, with the center of the reactor having the temperature of up to 1500 K and the walls remaining at room temperature. Final product analysis was used to analyze the mechanics of pyrolysis. No rate constant values were derived.
