Title:   Reactivity of Fluoroalkanes in Reactions of Coordinated Molecular Decomposition
Journal:   Russ. J. Phys. Chem. A
Volume:   91
Page(s):   1373 - 1379
Year:   2017
Reference type:   Journal article
Squib:   2017POK/DEN1373-1379

Reaction:   C2H4 + HFC2H5F
Reaction order:   2
Temperature:   1100 K
Rate expression:   3.32x10-25 [cm3/molecule s]
Category:  Theory
Data type:   Other theoretical
Pressure dependence:   Rate constant is high pressure limit
Comments:   Experimental results on the coordinated molecular decomposition of fluoroalkanes to olefin and HF were analyzed using the model of intersecting parabolas (IPM). The kinetic parameters were calculated to allow estimates of the activation energy (E) and rate constant (k) of these reactions, based on enthalpy and IPM algorithms. The values of E and k for reverse reactions of addition were estimated. The activation energy is reported as E = 185.5 kJ/mol.
