Author(s):   Matsugi, A.; Shiina, H.
Title:   Kinetics of the thermal decomposition of CH2F2
Journal:   Chem. Phys. Lett.
Volume:   707
Page(s):   140 - 143
Year:   2018
Reference type:   Journal article
Squib:   2018MAT/SHI140-143

Reaction:   CH2F2HF + ·CHF
Reaction order:   1
Temperature:   1577 - 2214 K
Pressure:  1.00 bar
Rate expression:   2.34x1015 [s-1] e-345466 [J/mole]/RT
Category:  Experiment
Data type:   High or low pressure extrapolation
Pressure dependence:   Rate constant is high pressure limit
Experimental procedure:   Shock tube
Excitation technique:   Thermal
Time resolution:   In real time
Analytical technique:   IR absorption
Comments:   Kinetics of the thermal decomposition reaction was studied by laser absorption measurements in a shock tube. The results were well reproduced by master equation analysis based on RRKM theory and classical trajectory calculations, which gave the quoted rate constant expressions. Fcent = 0.13.
